  44.    Make sure you are installing the latest version of HPP, check it at
  45.    the Web address mentioned in the What's new section.

  47.    Installation from hard disk : create a temporary directory and copy
  48.    (or unzip) all the files to that directory. Then run INSTALL.EXE
  49.  
  50.    You will find some additional information in the INSTALL.TXT file.

  55.    This software is licensed software. This unregistered version of the
  56.    HomePage Publisher software is provided FOR EVALUATION ONLY.

  58.    The unregistered version of this package is limited to 100 saves and
  59.    contains some other minor limitations that do not prevent you from
  60.    seeing and trying the limited features (e.g. the color wheel and
  61.    spell checking are not fully operational, the rows and columns numbers
  62.    are limited for a table).

  64.    Getting registered will remove those limitations.

  95.    YOU ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED TO APPLY THE LATEST VIDEO DRIVERS.

  97.    We have at last been able to state as an obvious fact that some quite
  98.    usual APIs Presentation Manager cause some video drivers a lot of trouble.
  99.    Those APIs are being used when displaying transparent images. Until those
  100.    video drivers are fixed, HPP has now available a switch which allows to
  101.    circumvent the problem, you just have to disable display of transparent
  102.    images. In that case, start HPP as follows:
  103.    START HPP.EXE /ti-
  104.  
  105.    Another alternative is to set the SET HPP_OPTIONS=NoTransImage
  106.    environment variable before starting HPP. If you want to get this option
  107.    permanent, you may insert it into your config.sys. If you want to set
  108.    multiple options, they must be separated by a comma.

  112.    Some video cards with HPP cause problems when creating patterns using a
  113.    quite usual API Presentation Manager. These video cards appear to work
  114.    correctly when using VGA drivers. To circumvent this problem, the "Show
  115.    Background Image" option is disabled by default in this version. If you
  116.    want to enable this option, start HPP as follows:
  117.    START HPP.EXE /bi+
  118.  
  119.    Another alternative is to set the SET HPP_OPTIONS=BackgroundImage
  120.    environment variable before starting HPP. If you want to get this option
  121.    permanent, you may insert it into your config.sys. If you want to set

  131.       - OS/2 V2.1 or higher (OS/2 Warp recommended).
  132.       - The OS/2 Fonts "Helv", "Tms Rmn" and "Courier" are mandatory.
  133.       - TCP/IP Internet Dialer (Optional, but recommended).

  137.       - Processor  : 386 minimum (486-DX4 or higher strongly recommended).
  138.       - Display    : VGA minimum (SVGA recommended).
  139.       - RAM        : 8M minimum, 12M recommended.
  140.       - Partition  : HPFS partition. (Optional, but recommended).
  141.       - Disk Space : 5MB temporary space available during installation.
  142.                      1MB for Software Installer.
  143.                      5MB for HomePage Publisher.
  144.                      2MB for help and online information.
